Ice Hockey and Ice Castles

Jeremy won tickets to both a Utah Grizzly game and the Ice Castles in Midway.  (He is sort of obsessed with calling into radio stations in the morning as he's riding the train to work.)  We used the hockey tickets Friday night.  It was great to get out of the house and do something different as a family!
Jeremy and I decided that we would use the ice castle tickets to celebrate our 8th Anniversary.  It was a wonderful day out with just the two of us!  I enjoyed the long drive there.  I don't remember the last time Jeremy and I were able to get lost in conversation for that long!  It was wonderful.
We even got to see the new princesses from the movie, Frozen, along with their friend Olaf.

Becoming Friends

As our little Joseph is developing his personality, Clara has decided he is so much fun to play with. (As long as he's not ruining her games.)  I love watching them play together.
One of their favorite games is when Clara pulls him around on a blanket.  As soon as he sees a blanket on the floor, he giggles, runs over, sits down, and then hollers and grunts until Clara notices and pulls him.  I'm just glad she is so willing to play that game as often as she does!
We also recently got our car serviced.  Clara was so excited to show Joe the blue horse at our car shop.  I was afraid to let Joe try it on his own, and was so glad when Clara rode the  horse over and over again with Joseph.

Clara's 1st Lost Tooth

I was up in Idaho helping my sister for the week when Clara lost her first tooth.  She was pretty nervous about the actual process.  Luckily Uncle Korth, who is an expert at pulling teeth, was there to help.  It took less than a second and the tooth was out.  She was so proud of it!
She has since insisted that Uncle Korth is to remove all her teeth and was devastated when I told her that I would not drive 4 hours just to have someone else remove her tooth.

All About Joe

Joseph's personality has exploded in the last few weeks.  I love seeing him turn from a baby into a toddler.
Here is Joseph surrounded by all the books he took of the shelf to read.  He LOVES books and would rather look at books than play with toys, unless the toy happens to be a ball.
He has always been one to just sit and watch the environment around him.  He's now exploring a little more, especially wanting to do the things he's seen many times.  Here is a picture of him blow drying my hair after insisting I give him the blow dryer.
He also loves putting on glasses.  He'll steal either Jeremy's or my glasses, put them on, and then look at each person in the room with a huge grin on his face expecting them to notice and laugh.  Here is a picture right after he nicked a pair of Clara's sunglasses.
(Sorry it's blurry, that little boy does not like to sit still for very long!)

New Years

We spent New Years Eve with some dear friends of ours - Aubs and Aaron.  Aubs was my roommate many, many years ago.  It was a fun evening, until our little Joe emptied the contents of his stomach onto their kitchen floor.  We thus left a little earlier than expected, and ended up not getting any pictures of the celebration.

New Years Day we spent at home, were little Joe behaved as if nothing happened the night before.  Here is my little fam haning out on the couch New Years Day.
