Joseph Graduates

We decided to move Joe out of his crib and into a toddler bed.  He got to help me put his bed together, which he thought was the best part I'm sure.  The whole time I was putting it together I kept talking it up so that by the time it was finished, the first thing Joe did was climb in and test it out.
He cried for a while that night when he actually had to go to sleep, but that was the only issue we had.  I love that both Clara and Joe transitioned so well.  I don't think he even tries to get out of bed when I lay him down for naps or night time.
Joe has also learned how to drink his milk out of his cereal bowl, and insists on doing it every morning.  He'll even drink it before all the cereal is all gone, and then insists that I put more milk in his bowl.

Easter

Happy Easter!  We seemed to have a rushed Easter weekend.  It came and went before we knew what happened.  Luckily the Easter Bunny didn't forget!
Clara loved her dream catcher and Joe loves his "ca."

We spent most of Sunday focusing on Christ rather than the Easter Bunny.  We were able to discuss our favorite stories of Jesus as well as sing our favorite songs about him.

We did end up dying Easter Eggs on Sunday though because I kept forgetting to do it throughout the week.
Hope you all had a wonderful Easter!

Aquarium

While our friends were still here, we were able to go visit the new Aquarium.  Clara loved it, but Joe was a little skeptical.
Joseph had so much fun with our friends, he LOVED having them here.
Joe has also started really loving dolls.  He gives them hugs, pats their backs, puts them to bed, covers them up, and makes sure they have plenty of balls to play with.
With our friend here, Joe has discovered that he can say words!  He's now saying about 20 words on a consistent basis.  The words he says the most are: Mom, car, ball and balloon.  We are so excited that he's finally talking!  He's still about 6 months behind, but at least he's figured out that he can say words!

Conference Weekend

To get ready for General Conference, our Stake President asked us to visit the temple sometime this week as a family.  So we took the kids to the Jordan River temple to show them where their parents were sealed for time and all eternity.
Joe grabbed his own chair and sat right in front of the TV to watch General Conference with us.  Of course, this was during the first part of the Saturday Morning session.  By Sunday afternoon, he was definitely done watching...
Our dear friends, Aubrey and Aaron get to stay with us for a week while they are between houses.  Joe loves having friends!
Joe also likes to steal some of Clara's things.  Here he is so proud of himself he gets to be like Clara.
