24th of July

We headed over to my brother's house for the 24th.  When we showed up, they had some birthday gifts for Joe.
We got to eat pizza and play some WiiU until it was dark enough to do fireworks.
We were also able to take Jeremy to the Bean Science Museum so he could see the changes.
While we were there, we got to attend a show where they brought out live animals.  We got to see a toad, bearded dragon, tarantula,

Rodeo and 4 Wheeling

Someone who is moving soon called and asked if we wanted their battery power 4 wheeler for kids.  We quickly said yes and then worried about where to keep it.  I'm glad we found a place because the kids ask to ride it all the time.
We were also able to attend the Ogden Rodeo this week.  I was afraid the kids would want to leave soon, but they LOVED it.  Joe got so excited every time he saw a horse.  And Clara loved watching the horses and bulls buck.  (She called it bumping.)
On the way back to the car, Clara made up her own game. She described it to me that all her friends would bump like a horse or cow.  Whoever bumped the best would win a quarter.  She decided to call it the "Bump your Money" game.
Clara is full of ideas like that these days.

Harold Beck Reunion

We were able to go to Yellowstone this last week for an extended family reunion for Jeremy's Dad's side of the family.  We camped for 3 nights and were able to tour the park for two days in a row.  We met up with the extended family for lunch every day, and then sat around the campfire visiting each night.  But the rest of the time, it was just our little family getting to tour Yellowstone at our own speed.
Joseph just loved getting dirty all week.  Here he is on the first night of arrival!
And then here's some pictures that don't need any explanation.
Mammoth Hot Springs
Joe was most fascinated by all the insects he could find on the ground.  He made all hikes a lot longer just because he had to stop and look at every ant he saw.
At lunch one day, the kids found a great teeter totter.
At one point, we were waiting for a geyser that would erupt in about 15 min.  The kids found a friend to play ring around the rosies with while they waited.
Our favorite thing to see was Dragon's Mouth.  It was a cave with water.  As the gasses would spew out of the cave, it not only looked like a dragon's breath, but it sure sounded like a dragon as well.  It was a pleasant surprise.  It's not even listed on the main map of Yellowstone.  We had pulled off to see the Mud Volcano, and the Dragon's Mouth was just part of the things you saw along that walkway.
While we were in Yellowstone, Jeremy's oldest sister had her baby!  We got to go see Adam on Sunday after we got back.  Clara was disappointed we missed seeing him in the hospital.

Joseph is Two!

I can't believe my baby is 2! Where does the time go?  He didn't get to open his presents on his actual birthday due to traveling.  So we had him open his gifts the next night.  He LOVES his trains!

Zachreson Family Reunion

We were up in Rexburg this last weekend for my family reunion.  We arrived Thursday night and the kids had so much fun seeing all the animals.  My sister has pigs, bunnies, a dog, and a cow.
Friday morning (July 4th) we attended the local parade.  We got there early, so this is some of the kids  hanging out in the shade while we waited for it to start.
My niece, Adanya was even in the parade!  (She's the one in the middle.)
Here's all the kids waiting for more candy to be thrown.
After the parade, we had a typical July 4th BBQ.  We were then able to just visit with everyone until evening time.  We were able to see my sister, Emma's, house that they closed on a month ago.  After visiting there, we headed over to a grassy area to watch the fireworks.  The kids had so much fun running around with their cousins!
Saturday morning we went to the BYU-I gardens.  Our kids loved being able to run around and see all the cool features there.  The favorite was a porch swing.
After the gardens, we all headed to Rigby Lake for some swimming.  It was a little cold for my kids, but they loved playing in the sand.
We were able to eat Pizza Pie Cafe for dinner Saturday night and then had a bon fire with smores and scones for dessert.
We were also able to get a huge family picture with everyone on Sat.  When I get a copy of it, I'll add it to this post.
