Friends come to play
I had 3 kids this week, the oldest is 20 months old. I had all three of them for 2 hours a day. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and Clara loved it. Each time her "friends" came to play she would giggle as they walked through the door. I loved having her entertained each day. Clara has really grown to love other kids. She follows them wherever we are.
Jeremy also started his new job this week. It was hard to have him gone so much, but I love that we are getting a pay check!
A cute thing Clara has discovered this week is my purse. She carries it with her all around the house. It makes me laugh.

Formidable Friday
Friday started out very formidable as my grandmother went in for open heart surgery. The normal 4 hour heart valve replacement surgery ended up lasting 6 hours. But the surgery was successful and my grandmother is expected to be released tomorrow! I drove to Rexburg, ID with Clara and picked my mom up. The three of us then drove to Spokane, WA where my grandmother had her surgery. As we saw from my Christmas post, Clara does not like men with white beards. This was taken the first night, so Clara was really scared of my grandpa. By the last morning we were there, Clara was eating out of his hand! I'm so glad she warmed up to him. I really didn't think she would. So that is why Clara is crying in both pictures. Grandad was still in the room when we got the picture with my grandmother. Oh well.
Also on Friday, Jeremy accepted a new job! Yay for no more unemployment. He'll work evenings at a place called ThinkBox Design Marketing. His first day was yesterday and he thinks he will really enjoy it.

Weddings? I love Weddings!
My good friends got married this last weekend. It made me so happy! I showed up early to help, and as it turned out, I was way early. So I took Clara to see the geese that were running around outside. She HATED them. Does it make me a bad mother if I laugh at my daughter's fears?
My friends had a wonderful ceremony and a wonderful reception. Here are some pictures of their happy day. Congratulations Jon and Keri!
Clara has a new favorite game to play. She noticed a space between our couch and wall the other day and tried to walk through. She got stuck, so I pulled the couch out away from the wall, which created the perfect sized walkway for Clara. She now loves running around and around the couch, especially the part where she gets to walk between the wall at the couch. Silly girl.

First Major Injury
..... or so I thought.
I was chasing Clara around the house, a favorite game of Clara's that we play. She fell and hit her mouth right on the corner of our entertainment system. There was a lot of blood, but I wasn't too worried because I knew that mouth injuries caused a lot of blood. However, as I was cleaning all the blood up, I found a large gaping wound on her chin. It was big enough to freak me out a little. A friend was here, and even he thought it looked like the cut went all the way through the skin. After a closer examination, which Clara hated, we discovered it didn't go all the way though. We decided not to take her to the doctor because we could super glue it closed if we had to. After laying in my arms with her blanket and pacifier for an hour (that's a long time for Clara) she got down off my lap, discarded her blanket and pacifier, and started playing. I got the camera to take a picture of this gaping wound that was now no bigger than a scratch. I couldn't believe it. We didn't even have to use super glue!
Another favorite moment of this week is watching Jeremy read to our little Clara. She loves books. She will often grab a book from the shelf, sit herself on our lap with it, and shove it in our face until we read it to her. I like that our little girl loves to read so much.
