We had a very packed weekend. Friday morning, Clara decided to read to Joe before she got ready for school.
Then he decided he was big enough to read on his own.
Friday evening the kids had fun playing with Dad in the toy room. Joe loved making faces with Dad, and I'm so glad Dad got pictures.
Saturday we got to go to several different cemeteries and visit the headstones of our relatives who have passed on. This year we had time to visit some of my side of the family. This is the first Zachreson. He immigrated to the United States where they changed his last name from Zachariason to Zachreson.
This is my grandpa's brother. He's the only relative I was able to meet on my grandpa's side of the family.
And of course, we had to get pictures of our kids with their namesakes. Beth Cooper Beck is Jeremy's paternal grandmother and Clara Edythe Cooper is her sister.
Saturday evening we had a family BBQ in Jeremy's brother's backyard. They have a basket ball hoop where all the older kids were playing ball. Joseph loves to dribble basketballs. That's what he spent most of him time doing. The older kids tried to switch balls with Joe, but he wouldn't be tricked!
Monday we were able to attend Seven Peaks as a family. I love that summer is almost here and we'll get to spend so much time in the water.
Monday night we went to see Muppets Most Wanted as a family. Clara LOVED it. Joe was good for the first 10 min or so. That little boy likes to wiggle, which I'm not complaining about. I just have to remember that when we take him to the movies, I don't get to watch it with Dad and Clara....

Clara's Kindergarten Graduation
Clara graduated from kindergarten this week. She is so excited to be able to be a first grader next year. She's most excited to be able to eat lunch at the school.
The kids sang quite a few songs and was quite enjoyable to watch. I got videos of most of them, but I will spare you them on this blog.
We were so grateful to be able to have Grandma Z come to the graduation and share this special day with Clara.
After the graduation, we got to head back to Clara's class room for some other activities, as well as being able to take as many pictures as we wanted.
Here is Clara with her teacher, Ms Glover.
Here she is with her "diploma."
Here's our little family with Clara holding the poem she made for us.
We sure are proud of our little student!
May you always love school and learning!

Work and some Play
Joseph loves to help me work, especially when it comes to sweeping and vacuuming. He gets so upset if I don't let him help when I do those things.
Our neighbors put sod in their back yard this week. Jeremy helped them get it in.
I will love that there will be a lot less weeds!
We also were able to play a little bit as a family this week. We headed over to Trafalga again, but this time Jeremy came with us. Clara loved getting to take turns riding in the car with us.
Joe was still really scared to try any of the rides though....

Work Open House and Mother's Day
Jeremy recently moved into a newly remodeled section of the building he works in. To show off all the improvements, they hosted an open house where the public could come see what they do. Jeremy works for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in their Publishing and Services department. We had so much fun walking around and seeing the many things this department does.
They even had several things for kids to do. One of which was a green screen with a camera. Clara had a blast watching the background change on her as she stood in front of the green screen. She tried to act something out to fit each background. Here is a picture of one of those.
I also had the opportunity to watch some neighbor kids this week as their parents attended the temple. They put on a concert for me, which was just fun.
I also had a fabulous Mother's Day. We were able to get a quick family picture in before church that morning. I love my family and am so grateful to be a part of such an amazing family.

Weekend Fun
We finally had a free Saturday! Jeremy needed to get some work done for his very part time job, so I took the kids to Trafalga in Lehi.
Joe hated the rides and would cling to me every time I got near one. But Clara loved the two that were operating.
We were also able to play some mini golf. Joe loved carrying the ball around with his putter. He did try to hit the ball a few times, but he mostly just laughed and laughed as he held his ball and watched Clara hit hers.
We probably ended up spending the most time in the indoor play area. I thought that was pretty funny that my kids loved that the most.
