The day before Thanksgiving break, Clara's music class had a talent show. Clara wanted to sing Head, Shoulder's Knees and Toes in French. So I taught it to her, and she performed it!
The Hogle Zoo has free days the last Wednesday of every winter month. So I decided to take my kids to the zoo the day before Thanksgiving. This was the first time Joe was old enough to really remember and enjoy the zoo. He loved going from one animal to the next. His favorite were the giraffes because, "they are nice and tall."
Thanksgiving Day we got to spend at John and Sharon's. Clara entertained us as we waited for dinner to start by doing a magic show.
And of course, we had to let Jack try the hat on.
Then came dinner. there was plenty of food for the 8 of us who were there.
The kids then decided to put on a cooking show together.
Our home teachers came over yesterday and Clara had made a TV from a card board box complete with a card board remote control. Clara then became a TV show that our home teachers could watch. I love how entertaining she is!
I'm so thankful that we got to spend a wonderful weekend as a family. What a blessing that is to us.

A Week of Nothing
We had a pretty relaxed week this week. I ran a few errands on Monday and Joe found a car he wanted to drive. Just ahead of him was some Avenger items, so he was "driving to get the Avengers."
Just moment before this picture was taken, both boys were screaming, and had been for well over 30 min. I took this picture and sent it to Jeremy as I was so grateful for some peace.
Not sure who, but someone decided it would be funny to put Dad's winter hat on Jack. We all had a great laugh watching our Dopey enjoy the attention he was getting.

Projects
I've been working on a lot of sewing projects this week. Most are Christmas projects, but one was turning cloth diapers into cute burp cloths. I was so happy to do this for my friend who had her very first baby this week.
We were also able to attend a birthday party this week for some neighbor's kids. Our kids loved dressing up as Minions and doing fun minion crafts!

Maga
My grandmother, affectionately known as Maga was able to spend Monday through Friday with us this last week. She traveled all the way from Montana with some friends just to spend some time with us. My kids loved having her here. They each got to spend some one on one time with her in their own special way. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of her with Joe, but here are my other kids enjoying their Great Grandmother.
Thanks for coming Maga, come anytime!

Happy Halloween!
Sunday we carved the pumpkin I had bought at the store and colored the rest of the pumpkins we had gotten from the Pumpkin Bash.
Clara had her school party and Hallween Parade on Friday, Oct 30. Here we all are ready to take Clara to school and watch her parade.
I picked Clara up a little early from school so we could head to Jeremy's Halloween work party. Employees were asked to not dress up, so here's the rest of the family trick or treating at cubicals.
Halloween day was actually fairly relaxing. We decided to watch The Wizard of Oz. Jack had been fussy, but as soon as that started, he instantly calmed down and watched with us.
For dinner we had create your own pizza jack o lanterns. Clara only likes cheese pizza so we cut up a string cheese and let her decorate with that. Joe insisted on making his smile go clear up to the eyes.
Then we got ready to go trick or treating.
The kids came home with more candy than they have ever gotten. Jeremy and I loved visiting neighbors so much that we just kept walking around. Both of their buckets were overflowing by the time they got home.
Jack has been pulling his lips in. We think it is the funniest thing. I've been trying to get a good picture of it for a few weeks ago. I was pleasantly surprised when I zoomed in on a Halloween picture to find that Jack was sucking on his lips to perfection. Oh how I love those chubby little cheeks!
