The Saga Continues....

As if hurting his shoulder wasn't enough Jeremy decided to hurt his knee too.  Ok, so he didn't really choose to do it, but it happened.  He was doing a rope course for work, didn't make a swing he was supposed to, and jarred his knee.  It was still pretty painful the next day, so we headed to the instacare and found out he sprained his knee and needs to use crutches for about a week....   Oh how our lives are fun!

And here's some cute pics of Joe.

Happy Birthday Jeremy

Jeremy's birthday was on Saturday.  We had him open his gifts first thing in the morning.  Clara picked out this T-shirt all by herself to give to him.
And I had Joe give Jeremy the shorts.  (I gave Jeremy a receipt of the movie The Avengers which I pre-ordered for him as a gift.)
We also decided to take an updated family photo this week.  And after taking several pictures both with the timer and by just holding the camera myself, this was the best one we got....
Every time Clara holds little Joe, she begs me to take a picture of them.  I also couldn't resist taking a picture of him in the Halloween outfit we have.  It's a newborn size, so I'm not sure if it will still fit him when it's actually Halloween.  But since the stores have already started selling Halloween stuff it's not too early to dress him in it right?
I also love how Joe is no longer looking like a new born.  I can't resist kissing those chubby cheeks of his!

2 Months Old

I can't believe my little Joe turned 2 months old this week.  At his Dr appointment, he weighed in at 8 lbs 12 oz (3%), was 21.25 inches long (2%), and has a head circumference of 38.6 cm (19%).  So my little guy is small, but at least he's on the charts!  I didn't take any pictures of him the day he turned 2 months old, but here are a few pictures of him (not previously put in any post.)

To see more pictures of my little guy, see my picture a day blog.

Brigham City Temple Open House

For Labor Day, we got reservations for the Brigham City Temple open house.   Turns out that they decided to just let anyone through on Labor Day, so our experience was 3.5 hours of waiting in line and an hour of actually getting to walk around inside the temple.  It was a crazy hot day, but well worth it in the end.

We got to stand in line for a bus to take us from the parking lot to the temple.  Clara was so excited that she got to ride on a bus!
The next thing we did was stand in line to get into the temple.  Jeremy got a lot of shots of the temple itself, but we ended up with only 1 family picture outside of the temple.  It was too hot standing in the sun to worry about posing again.
While we passed the fountain, the kids got to get out of line and put their hands in the water to cool off.
Clara was so excited to be able to see the INSIDE of the temple.  We've taken her to temple grounds quite a bit before, but she's always wanted to be able to go in.

When asked what her favorite part of the temple was, Clara said, "The baptismal font and the rainbows on the wall."  (The sun was shining through some glass casting rainbows on the wall.)
