Maga Came

My grandmother came to stay with us for a few days this last week.  We had so much fun with her here.  I love that my kids were excited to have her as well.  Even Joe got to where he would give her hugs!
Joseph has developed an obsession with shoes.  He will try on any pair of shoes he find laying around the house and try to walk in them.
We dropped Maga off at temple square for her to catch a bus with my mom up to Rexburg to be able to stay with my sister for a few days before she heads home.  Since we were already there, I decided to let my kids walk around temple square for a few hours.  Both my kids love visiting temple square.  And both of their favorite things to see is the Christus.  Joseph couldn't stop staring and pointing.  He's a little mad in this picture because Clara made him turn around to look at the camera.

Good bye Friends

Our next door neighbors moved out this week.  Clara had to say good-bye to another really good friend.  I the people who move in have a daughter that is around Clara's age.

The two girls got to play outside together for two days straight as the packing, moving, and cleaning took place.  Joseph longingly watched from inside.
We have a firefighter who lives 2 houses down from us.  As we were outside helping with the moving, a fire truck came to visit the neighbor.  Joseph was obsessed.  And the firemen were nice enough to give Joe a fire hat.
I was also listening to Phantom of the Opera in the car this week.  Clara was intrigued by the story and really wanted to watch the movie.  I told her it was a little scary, so she had to watch it with me.  I was surprised that it kept her attention the entire time.  She was very involved in the plot and wasn't too thrilled with the ending.  I'm so glad our daughter has some appreciation for the arts!

A Day in the Life

I missed posting again last week, mainly because our lives have been completely normal.  So here's a few pictures of what a normal day looks like in the Beck house hold.
Joseph loves to help me do laundry so he can play with all the laundry baskets.
Joseph always wants to do what Clara does, and most of the time she loves it.
Joseph loves reading books, and we spend a lot of hours each day reading with him.
With the warmer weather coming, Clara has been able to play outside with friends a lot more.
I love our neighbor hood and ward.  I love our house.  I love day to day lives.  I especially love my wonderful life.

Jed's Baptism

When I went to write this post, I realized that I forgot to write last week.  Nothing too new happened that week, which is probably why I spaced it.

This weekend we were able to travel up to Rexburg and attend the baptism of my nephew, Jed.
He is such a good kid, and we had so much fun getting to spend this special weekend with him and his family.  Our little Joseph idolized Jed.  He followed Jed around everywhere and Jed was so kind to play with him without complaining.
