Tribute to Dads

Jeremy and I recently got a new scanner. To try it out, we scanned some pictures of my dad that I've been wanting electronic files of for a long time now. The pictures are old and so they themselves weren't the greatest quality. But I'm glad I have them on the computer now. As I was thinking about it, I had to post them on the blog.

This first one was taken during High School. Dad was a school bus driver and would often drive over the weekends to take the high school groups to compete. Dad would always take the one that his kids were on. So we were lucky enough to always have a parent support us in our away games. This was one of those events. This was taken my Junior year at State Speech and Drama. It is my favorite picture of Dad and I.This next one is the last picture ever taken of my dad and I, at least to my knowledge. It was taken at my oldest brothers wedding reception 11 months before he passed away. I was crying at the time so I didn't want to look at the camera. Oh how I wish I did now.I came home this week and found this when I walked in the door. I had to include it in my tributes to Dads blog.

What an awesome tribute Sarah - I don't remember ever seeing a picture of him. I need to be better at taking pictures with my parents because we never know when it will be our last one. Thanks for sharing your personal thoughts with us.

Ohhh I know these feelings too well. That's so neat that you know that's the last picture of you 2 ever taken together. I should find mine! I'm sure that it must be so hard to not have him in your life right now, especially with Clara being in your life now. This was such a sweet tribute.
