Hot Weather
We had hot enough weather this week that I was able to get Clara's pool out. She insisted on inviting some neighbor kids over too. The moms sat around and visited while all the kids took turns jumping in the pool. It was such a fun day.

Family Fun Weekend
Friday night we had all my family members who live in UT over for a movie night. We watched Captain America and Thor. It's always so much fun to see the cousins play and get a long so well. And it was really nice to have Korth with us too!
Sunday we decided to spend some important immediate family time at Temple Square. It was a beautiful day and I loved watching Clara run from one thing to the next.
Clara said her favorites were the flowers and the fountains.

If anyone is interested in coming, please feel free to show up. If you don't know my address, call or email me and I'll let you know so that you can come.

Busy Easter Weekend
Wednesday we were able to decorate eggs as a family, and Clara was in heaven. She loves to do anything artsy.
Thursday, Clara had an Easter party during preschool and she loved getting to show me everything thing she got to bring home.
Friday, we got to decorate more eggs with my sister, which Clara was thrilled about.
The Easter Bunny comes on Saturday at our house so that we can focus on our Savior more on Easter Sunday. Clara was so excited to run home and see what the Easter bunny had brought her.
Here she's trying to make the same face that is on the Easter Egg.
And here she is quickly getting to paint one picture with her new paints before we had to leave to go hang out with cousins.
Also on Saturday, I got to attend my sister-in-law's baby shower. This baby is their first, and it sure was fun to see how excited she is for her little boy to get here.
Sunday we got to go see our dear friends bless their twin boys. They are such little miracles, and I'm so glad they are here and are healthy!
Also on Sunday, my grandmother came in from out of town for a small visit. We got to have Easter dinner with her and visit with my family for most of the evening. It felt like with everything we had going on that weekend, we ended up not focusing on our Savior as much as I would have liked. But at least we had LOTS of time with extended family.

- Clara decided that this hoola hoop was a picture frame. She made me take a lot of picture of her in this picture frame...
- Clara was so excited to see her great grandmother. Clara had met her before, but she was too little to remember. Prior to Grandma Leanor coming, I talked to Clara about how we're related to her and things. She ran to the door when the door bell rang so she could be the first to welcome her. As soon as Clara saw her, she ran over to me in tears. "That's not what my great grandma should look like." Clara wouldn't talk to Grandma Leanor the rest of the evening.

Baby Boy
Jeremy and I are thrilled to announce that we are pregnant with a little boy! He'll be joining our family sometime at the beginning of August! We truly feel blessed, especially since our ultra sound proved to us that he is healthy and normal!
Jeremy was impressed with the big screen TV they had to watch the ultra sound on! (Ok, I was too.)
And here's a picture of me (with Clara insisting to be in the picture too,) just before we left this morning. So here is how I look at 21 weeks.
When we told Clara, that she was getting a little brother, she started crying and asked why. She was really hoping for a little Sister. We then tried to explain that we get what Heavenly Father thinks we should have and maybe even need. About 30 minutes later, she came up to me with tears in her eyes and said, "Why does Jesus want us to have a little boy?" I know we'll be able to talk her into being excited for a boy. She's already decided that we should name him Lincoln (after our neighbor boy) or Braxton (a nice boy in her primary class.)

Early Easter
We had a wonderful weekend full of watching our church leaders speak to us. My family was at my house the entire day on Saturday, and we ended the evening by eating some ice cream sundaes to celebrate my Mom's birthday. Clara insisted that Jeremy take a picture of the two of us, and even though it looks like I'm strangling her, that is where Clara insisted my arm should be.
We got to do some early Easter celebrating when Jeremy's mom decided to do her Easter traditions a week early. Clara was ecstatic to get to run around with her cousins looking for clues which would lead to an Easter Basket full of candy! Thanks Sharon for all your hard work!

- So last Monday, Clara came home from a friends house with a beautifully decorated Easter Egg. The egg had been drained out of it, so it was just a hallow shell. I told Clara that she needed to be careful with it because it could break very easily. Later that day, she came in and said, "Look Mom, it doesn't break if I drop it from this high." She continued to drop it from higher and higher up, attempting to prove to me that it wouldn't break. Each time she went to drop it, I warned her to be careful because eventually it would break. 2 minutes later, she came running back to me with tears streaming down her face and a broken egg in her hand. "Mom, I clapped once and it didn't break," came a very sad explanation. "I clapped 2 times and it didn't break. But I clapped 3 times, and it broke! Can you tape it?"
