Moving

Sorry that this week's blog is going to be short. I have been busy moving all week long. I have packed, loaded, unloaded, and unpacked 2 car loads every day since last Saturday! I'm feeling very tired and sore. Jeremy finished his last final yesterday, so he's finally been able to help move a little more.

We love our new place. Last night was our first night in our new apartment. Our neighbors are mostly stay at home moms, so both Clara and I will have many friends to play with. I will post pictures next week, after we've settled in more.

For those of you who haven't heard, we are planning on moving our furniture tomorrow morning at 10 am. If you would like to help, come to our old apartment at that time.

The Beard is Gone

After having a beard for 2 months, Jeremy decided it was time to give it up. We shaved a little bit off at a time and took a picture at each stage. He went from a full beard to goatee to mustache to clean shaven. It took a lot longer to get the full beard gone, especially with taking pictures in between!

Almost There

That's right, Clara is almost crawling! I can't believe how fast she's doing things. Right now she only gets up on all 4 when she's trying to reach something. However, I know that within time she'll realize that she can get to anything she wants! Enjoy the video! Sorry there is no sound, but we used our digital camera, and there is no audio on that. She also usually stays on all 4 longer, but she kept looking at me instead of focusing on reaching.....

This last picture I took because it shows how much she slobbers. I try to keep a bib on her so that she doesn't get totally soaked. However, this day all our bibs were in the wash. I love how even her pants got wet, but she seems to be loving life anyway.

Project

Jeremy and I got a good deal on a used high chair. The problem is that when I was cleaning it today, the dusty smell turned out to be a very moldy seat cushion. I called the company that makes the high chair to see how much a new seat cover would be, and was surprised to learn that it would be the same price as what we paid for the chair. Not wanting to pay that much, I called my mother for suggestions. For a lot cheaper and only 3 hours of work, I made this seat cover myself. It was my first upholstery type project. I wasn't sure how good it would look in the end, especially since the only pattern I had was the old seat cover. Even though there's a few things I don't like, overall I'm really proud of myself and wanted to share my big accomplishment.
